    This Is Our Nation

This is the first article of "This Is Our Nation" a blog dedicated to the vNFL Pittsburgh Steelers. I want to write about the team in the tradition of the last owner RedZone and his "Steelers Nation".

From the moment of my arrival I change little or nothing. In this season without our star receiver Mitch Wright is impossible for us to be competitive. I know there are many doubts on this players but I think he will be a great player for the future of the team. In general the situation of the team is good and we need to be confident. For this reason in this moment I'm moving to prepare the team for the next season. I change the defense from 3-4 to 4-3 (I know it's not a good move during the season but I prefer to move now) because I prefer this type of defense and we have the players to do this.

Today I released Reuben Ellard and Derek Middleton. We take Ellard in the free agency this year but the player is not set in the team really well. The same for Middleton.

We lost the two last game against Bengals and Ravens but we play well. So with a positive spirit we move to Dallas. Cowboys are in a great condition so we need to prepare for a great game.
    See you soon.

    Gameplanning Cynergy

I grew up in northern Indiana, just a stone's throw from Notre Dame stadium, and I watched WNDU television every chance I could get when the Fighting Irish were on, and I loved watching the running backs. That one position always summed up the duality of the game for me. At times the game flowed like poetry captured in an end around run that breaks out for a twenty yard gain, and other times it was a stubborn editorial that rammed through the ideas it presented. Like a fullback leading the way up the gut for a simple one yard gain to keep the chains moving, or a goal line touchdown.

I was fortunate enough to spend a year teaching at Richmond High School in Indiana with Vagas Ferguson, an ND running back, 1978 Cotton Bowl MVP, and Joe Montana's teammate. A great guy and a great Vice Principal. Toss in the Chicago Bears Walter Payton, and Detroit's Barry Sanders, and I think even the most ardent fan of the pass could understand my love for the run game. It is throwback football at its finest.

    Nothing to See Here

That the Calgary Stampeders welcomed a new GM into McMahon stadium went almost unnoticed during last nights 24-13 win over local rivals Edmonton.

Ukpatfan is the newly installed executive and he slipped into his new seat without any kind of fanfare or introduction to the home fans.
Was that lack of fanfare down to natural British reserve, or should we look deeper for the true reasons behind such a quiet transfer of control?

We caught up with ukpatfan in his office today for an exclusive interview:
